Background
I have worked as a physiotherapist for almost 20 years having qualified after a period of playing professional football. As a physiotherapist I worked part time for the English Institute of Sport (now UK Sports Institute) for many years across a wide variety of sports and was the British Triathlon Team Physio up to and at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. Whilst working in elite sport I set up a physiotherapy and bike fitting clinic in Sheffield, applying my expertise gained from working with World Champions and Olympic medallists in elite sport in helping everyone from weekend warriors to the World’s best to be the best version of themselves for their chosen sports and activities.
I relocated to Morayshire, Scotland in 2024 and being a passionate Retul certified bike fitter I now run Fit4 Velo – a physio-led bike fitting service helping to optimise the riding experience and performance of cyclists and triathletes, from all abilities and backgrounds.
When I’m not bike fitting….
You’re likely to find me out on a bike (mountain-bike or road bike), running, enjoying the great outdoors and nature’s amazing playground in our new home in the North East of Scotland. Or, running round after a small child!
An interesting fact….
After playing professional football (Nottingham Forest FC), I gained 33 international Futsal (5-a-side) caps for England and am still the only England Futsal player to have scored a goal against Argentina (we lost 10-1)!
What would you cook friends for dinner?
Current favourite is a squash a fennel lasagne from a River Cottage cookbook
What country is on your bucket list to visit?
I’d love to explore South America (I know it’s a continent, not a country) for the scenery and culture
Favourite season and why?
I don’t think you can beat early Autumn when the sun is still warm, the colours spectacular and the trails – still dry from the summer – are running amazingly.
