Working background
I worked part time for the English Institute of Sport for many years across a wide variety of sports and was the British Triathlon Team Physio up to and at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. Whilst working in elite sport, I set up Fit4-Physio and continue to apply my expertise gained from working with World Champions and Olympic medallists in elite sport in helping everyone from weekend warriors to the World’s best to be Fit4 their sports and activities.
I am also a passionate Retul certified bike fitter and head up our sister brand Fit4-Velo helping to optimise the riding experience and performance of cyclists and triathletes.
Areas of interest
Having assisted lots of elite athletes through complex rehabilitation programmes, I enjoy helping people go through their unique rehab journey and seeing the complexities each individual brings to this process. I am a passionate cyclist and love bike fitting at our Fit4-Velo bike fitting studio in Kelham Island.
When not at the clinic….
You’re likely to find me out on a bike somewhere – mountain-bike or road bike. Or running round after a small child!
Most outstanding achievement / interesting fact
After playing professional football (Nottingham Forest), I gained 33 international Futsal (5-a-side) caps for England and am still the only England Futsal player to have scored a goal against Argentina (we lost 10-1)!
What would you cook if I came round for dinner?
Anything from Rukmini Iyer’s Green Roasting Tin book. Current favourite is her middle eastern bulgar wheat and kale recipe with pomegranate seeds!
What country is on your bucket list to visit?
I’d love to explore South America (on a mountain bike) for the scenery and culture
Fave season and why?
Can’t beat early Autumn in the alps when the sun is still warm, the trails running amazingly and the colours are spectacular
